Horticulturists play a vital role in improving the cultivation practices of vegetables, fruits, flowers and spices & condiments crops. The scope for Horticulture widens with changing food habits, growing health consciousness and demand for the cut flowers for export to different countries. Post harvest management of fruits, vegetables and spices provide an unique opportunity for value addition of the horticultural produces. A passout in this field can opt career as Floriculturist, Olericulturist, Pomologist or entrepreneur.
